The project
Every stall at Prahran Market carries a story: migration, family, craft, persistence, or sometimes a surprisingly long conversation about pineapples. Series two of Humans of Prahran Market gave those stories room to breathe.
The approach
We filmed interviews and observational material across shifting light, reflective display cases and the constant movement of a working market. My role continued through post-production, where colour and audio needed to hold the different environments together without sanding away their character.
What remained
The series became more than a record of vendors; it captured the community that forms when people care deeply about what they make and share.
